Corregidor Island

December 3rd 2014.

This was the day we went to Isla ng Corregidor. It was a class trip, but it was one of the most interesting and beautiful trips I've been on nonetheless. The island is one of the most important historical sites of the Philippines, being especially significant "during the invasion and liberation of the Philippines from Japanese forces." (quote taken from Wikipedia, yes I am the worst at paraphrasing and citing sources)

The island was breathtaking. In it were ruins, artillery units, underground tunnels, caves, memorials, and (morbidly) my favourite: dungeons.
